How Long to Air Fry Pork Tenderloin at 400°F: 1–1½ lb Guide
Air fry pork tenderloin at 400°F for about 15–24 minutes, depending on weight and thickness. Pull at 63°C/145°F, then rest before slicing.

This simple 400°F air fryer pork tenderloin guide gives practical timing for 1 lb and 1½ lb tenderloins without breading or a long marinade. High heat browns the seasoned outside quickly, while a thermometer check at 63°C/145°F and a short rest keep the center juicy and safely cooked.
Ingredients
Instructions
Air fryer:204°C / 399°F

Preheat the air fryer to 204°C/400°F for 3 minutes. Pat the pork tenderloin very dry with paper towels.
Rub the tenderloin with olive oil. Mix the salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme, then coat the pork evenly on all sides.
Place the tenderloin in the basket in a single layer, bending the thin tail under slightly if needed so the thickness is more even. Leave space around it for airflow.
Air fry a 450 g/1 lb tenderloin for 15–18 minutes, turning halfway. For a 680 g/1½ lb or thicker tenderloin, air fry 20–24 minutes, turning halfway.
Start checking early with an instant-read thermometer. Remove the pork when the thickest part reaches 63°C/145°F.
Rest on a cutting board for 5–10 minutes before slicing across the grain. The pork should be lightly pink or just cooked through, juicy, and browned outside.
Tips & tricks
- Do not cook by time alone; tenderloin thickness matters more than exact weight.
- If the outside browns too quickly before the center is done, lower the air fryer to 190°C/375°F and continue checking every 2–3 minutes.
- For juicier slices, rest closer to 10 minutes and cut into thick medallions.
- Cook only one large tenderloin at a time unless your basket can hold both with clear space between them.
- This guide is for fresh, thawed pork tenderloin, not frozen pork tenderloin.
