Air Fryer Frozen Turkey Burgers: ¼-lb and ⅓-lb No-Thaw Guide
Air fryer frozen turkey burgers cook straight from the freezer at 190°C with separate timing for ¼-lb and ⅓-lb patties.

Frozen turkey burgers are one of the easiest no-thaw air fryer dinners, but patty size matters. Use 190°C and check with a thermometer so ¼-lb and ⅓-lb patties cook through safely without drying out.
Ingredients
Instructions
Air fryer:190°C / 374°F

Preheat the air fryer to 190°C for 3 minutes. Keep the turkey patties frozen until the basket is ready.
Place patties in a single layer with space between them. Do not stack; cook in batches if needed.
Air fry ¼-lb patties for 12–16 minutes total, flipping after 8 minutes. Air fry ⅓-lb patties for 15–20 minutes total, flipping after 10 minutes.
Start checking at the low end of the time range. Insert an instant-read thermometer from the side into the thickest center of each patty.
Cook until every patty reaches at least 74°C/165°F internally. Do not rely on browning alone, as turkey can look done before it is safe.
Rest for 2 minutes before serving. If using buns, warm them separately for 1–2 minutes in the air fryer after the patties are done.
Tips & tricks
- This guide is for frozen raw turkey patties, such as common Jennie-O, Trader Joe’s, or warehouse-style patties. Fully cooked frozen turkey burgers may need less time; still heat to 74°C/165°F.
- If patties are stuck together, air fry for 2–3 minutes, then separate carefully and continue cooking in a single layer.
- For cheeseburgers, add cheese only after the patties reach 74°C/165°F, then air fry 30–60 seconds just to melt.
- Lean turkey dries out if overcooked, so finish by thermometer rather than adding extra time automatically.
- Season after the first flip if the frozen surface will not hold seasoning at the start.
